ALAN ARKIN
Alan Arkin, counsel to the firm, received his B.A. in Political Science and History from Washington University in 1993 and his J.D. (cum laude) from Tulane Law School in 1996. At Tulane Law School, Mr. Arkin served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Tulane Law Review, and published a comment entitled "The Inconsistencies in Modern Federalism Jurisprudence." Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Arkin was associated with Weil Gotshal & Manges, LLP and Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. Mr. Arkin has extensive litigation experience in federal and state courts in securities, RICO, bankruptcy, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and fraud actions. Mr. Arkin has also written on a variety of matters including pleadings standards for scienter under the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act, the liability of outside professionals under the federal securities laws, and contests for corporate control. Mr. Arkin is admitted to practice in New York state courts, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Arkin is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and serves on its Committee on Drugs and the Law.
