Deana Davidian thrives on competition and the excitement of winning. An expert at handling general business disputes and negotiations, Ms. Davidian has earned a reputation as a formidable foe in both the courtroom and the boardroom.

Ms. Davidian is a seasoned trial attorney with a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes for her clients in high-stakes business disputes and litigation. She represents a diverse roster of clients – including corporations, partnerships, private equity firms, investment banks, hedge funds, directors, officers, and high-net-worth individuals – in matters involving partnership and employment disputes, breach of contract, fiduciary claims, securities claims, and business torts. From inception of a matter, Ms. Davidian develops a comprehensive strategy tailored to achieve her client’s objectives. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and tenacious advocacy, she manages all phases of representation from the filing of the complaint through trial and any resulting appeals.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Davidian was a law clerk for the Honorable John E. Sprizzo of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She was recognized as a New York Super Lawyers “Rising Star” every year from 2014 to 2022, and has been named a New York “Super Lawyer” every year from 2023 to present. She has also served as a member of the New York City Bar Association Litigation Committee.

  • Successfully defended investment banking advisory firm and its partners in a lawsuit brought by a former partner, obtaining dismissal of all claims after trial and resulting appeal.
  • Defended investment banking advisory firm and its founding partners against employee and client solicitation claims valued in excess of $100 million in eight-week trial.
  • Secured the complete dismissal of forty-four derivative claims brought against a Board of Directors in a high-profile shareholder derivative suit.
  • Successfully defended CEO against FINRA allegations that he engaged in insider trading, obtaining dismissal of all claims after full arbitration hearing on the merits.
  • Obtained favorable settlement on the eve of trial in a $50 million litigation filed by global alternative investment manager against former executives for alleged misuse of confidential information.
  • Successfully defended a managing member of an LLC in a lawsuit alleging fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, obtaining dismissal of all counts.
  • Successfully defended client in a lawsuit alleging tortious interference with contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress, obtaining a judgment dismissing all claims and payment of client’s attorneys’ fees and costs.
  • Successfully defended a global industrial company against ERISA claims, obtaining dismissal of all claims.
  • Achieved a 100% recovery for a major investment bank in contested breach of contract litigation, managing all phases from filing of the complaint through final judgment and resulting appeals.
  • Successfully represented client in lawsuit brought for a former employee alleging discrimination, obtaining dismissal of discrimination claim.
  • Obtained judgment after trial in favor of executive seeking advancement under company By-Laws.
  • Successfully resolved contentious litigation between founding members of a real estate brokerage firm, resulting in a settlement affording client increased equity and sole managerial authority.
  • Representing and advising clients in connection with bankruptcy proceedings, particularly with respect to securities and contractual issues (including representing the “Step One” creditors in the Tribune bankruptcy and the “TPS Group” in the Washington Mutual bankruptcy).
  • Regularly represents and advises private equity and hedge fund members in high-stakes partnership disputes, employment-related negotiations, and business disputes.
