Following AS LLP’s successful motion to dismiss the Trustee’s Complaint against AS LLP client Steven Mendelow, the Wall Street Journal highlighted the firm’s Opposition to the Trustee’s motion to amend which followed. In particular, the article, which can be viewed in full here, reports:
Lawyers for Mr. Mendelow said in court papers that Mr. Picard doesn’t have proof that he actually knew about the fraud. . . . “Everyone guarantees things,” Alex Reisen, a lawyer for Mr. Mendelow, told the judge Wednesday. . . . Mr. Reisen added that Messrs. Mendelow and Madoff never met and may have spoken only once.
